HOW DO WE DO IT?
We draw from sources
both inside and outside the U.S., including Canada, New England,
Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, South America,
and Europe. Because we receive lumber from these varied sources, we
have the ability to provide you with a range of choices and
solutions. That means, if your first choice for lumber becomes hard
to find or cost-prohibitive, we have alternatives that can meet your
needs at the right price.
Source Materials
Our varied and widespread sourcing of
lumber is one of the most unique characteristics of John Rock. We
buy lumber in a number of different forms, from a range of
locations. We receive raw materials primarily from Virginia, West
Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, and
Pennsylvania.
At John Rock, we also receive precut
components that are both domestically and internationally supplied,
including hardwoods and softwoods from Eastern Canada and South
America. All the wood we receive from South America is grown in
plantations, so no rainforest is destroyed.
